  • Public Relations: Press Release and Media Advisory Drafting, Media Pitching

  • Government Relations: Coordination with federal, local, and state elected officials to attend groundbreaking.

Objective

Kuubix Energy joined forces with Southern California Edison (SCE), one of California's largest utility providers, to expand SCE's Community Renewables Program. With the support of Solegreen, a global clean energy investor, Kuubix Energy designed and developed a 3 MW-AC solar facility in Lancaster, CA, to cater to consumers across Southern California.

Kuubix Energy and Solegreen planned to host a groundbreaking ceremony to initiate construction and inform the community and business partners about this vital clean energy project. CPRA Strategies was tasked with conducting outreach to elected officials, business partners, and media to generate awareness of the project and support a successful groundbreaking event.

Strategy

With just eleven days to plan, our public relations and government affairs experts swiftly contacted local media, federal, state, and elected officials, and key business partners. Leveraging CRPA Strategies’ founder, Ashley Martinez, 16-year public affairs experience, we pushed our requests to the top of their priority lists. Simultaneously, we began drafting talking points, media advisories, and a press release while conducting daily check-ins with Kuubix Energy to provide progress updates and seek approval for digital and print materials.

Results

Our efforts produced attendance and public recognition from the offices of House Representative Mike Garcia, California State Assembly Member Tom Lackey, and Los Angeles County Board Supervisor Kathryn Barger. Southern California Edison representatives and Solegreen's investors from Israel also attended to express their support for the partnership. In addition, the Antelope Valley Times also featured the project in its Business Section, raising awareness within the community. The solar project is set to be operational in late 2022.

Conclusion

Our expertise was pivotal in successfully promoting Kuubix Energy's groundbreaking ceremony. CPRA Strategies is proud to contribute to the growth of clean energy initiatives and help our clients shine in their respective industries.
