Kuubix Energy
Kuubix Energy, a leading full-service solar installation company servicing five states across the U.S., partnered with Southern California Edison (SCE) to expand SCE’s Community Renewables Program. Kuubix Energy retained CPRA Strategies to promote its groundbreaking solar project in Lancaster, CA.
Challenge
Kuubix joined forces with Southern California Edison (SCE), one of California's top utility providers, to expand SCE's Community Renewables Program. With the support of Solegreen, a global clean energy investor, Kuubix designed and developed a 3 MW-AC solar facility in Lancaster, CA, to cater to consumers across Southern California.
Kuubix and Solegreen aimed to host a groundbreaking ceremony to initiate construction and inform the community and business partners about this vital clean energy project. CPRA Strategies was tasked with conducting outreach to elected officials, business partners, and media to generate awareness of the project and support a successful groundbreaking event.
Solution
With just eleven days until the groundbreaking, our public relations and government affairs experts swiftly reached out to local media, federal, state, and local elected officials, and key business partners. Leveraging CRPA founder Ashley Martinez's 17-year public affairs/relations experience, he contacted people in his network to help push our event to the top of the list.
Simultaneously, we began drafting talking points, a media advisory, and a press release while conducting daily check-ins with Kuubix to provide progress updates and seek approval for materials.
Result
Our efforts led to attendance and public recognition from the offices of House Representative Mike Garcia, California State Assembly Member Tom Lackey, and Los Angeles County Board Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
Southern California Edison representatives and Solegreen's investors from Israel also attended and expressed their support for the partnership. In addition, the Antelope Valley Times featured the project in their Business Section, further raising awareness.
