California Grants 

Grant Title: 2024-25 California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CSNSGP) 

Deadline:  9/23/2024 

Agency/Department: Governor's Office of Emergency Services 

Estimated Total Funding: $76,000,000 

The CSNSGP aims to offer financial assistance for strengthening security measures and making physical security improvements to nonprofit organizations that face a heightened risk of violent attacks or hate crimes based on their ideology, beliefs, or mission.

Grant Title: Ending California’s Tobacco Epidemic in Every Community 

Deadline: 11/08/2024 

Agency/Department: Department of Public Health 

Estimated Total Funding: $38,700,000 

The purpose is to support up to 43 initiatives that accelerate progress toward ending California's tobacco epidemic through policy, system, and environmental change strategies. These projects aim to boost community engagement within populations disproportionately targeted by the tobacco industry, with a focus on African American/Black, Asian/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Latino, LGBTQ, and rural communities.

Grant Title: 2024-25 Law Enforcement Specialized Units (LE) Program 

Deadline: 11/12/2024  

Agency/Department: Governor's Office of Emergency Services 

Estimated Total Funding: $1,421,994 

The purpose of the program is to establish or strengthen specialized units that deliver a coordinated first response to domestic violence victims/survivors and their children. These units will achieve this through police or sheriff investigations, immediate victim advocacy, first responder training, and the creation of sustainable practices and protocols that extend beyond the Grant Subaward performance period.

Grant Title: 2024-25 Campus Sexual Assault (CT) Program 

Deadline: 11/05/2024 

Agency/Department: Governor's Office of Emergency Services 

Estimated Total Funding: $1,431,500 

The purpose of the program is to sustain a comprehensive and coordinated community response that prioritizes victims/survivors, enhances their safety, offers confidential services to sexual assault victims/survivors, holds offenders accountable, and conducts extensive outreach at institutions of higher education.

Federal Grants 

Grant Title: Humanities Research Centers on Artificial Intelligence 

Deadline: 12/11/2024 

Agency/Department: National Endowment for the Humanities 

Estimated Total Funding: $2,500,000 

This program supports the creation of new collaborative humanities research centers dedicated to examining the legal, ethical, or societal implications of developing AI technologies. A Center involves ongoing collaboration among multiple scholars and focuses on the humanities aspects of AI through two or more related scholarly activities.

Grant Title: Research Grants to Rigorously Evaluate Innovative and Promising Strategies to Prevent Firearm-Related Violence and Injuries 

Deadline: 12/02/2024 

Agency/Department: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - ERA 

Estimated Total Funding: $12,900,000 

This program supports investigator-initiated research to rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of innovative strategies aimed at preventing all forms of firearm-related violence, injuries, and deaths. This includes mass shootings, firearm homicides and assaults, suicides, unintentional firearm incidents, and firearm-related crime. The research funded under this initiative will strengthen the evidence base for strategies to protect individuals, families, schools, and communities from firearm-related harm.

Grant Foundation: Del E. Webb Foundation

This program supports nonprofit organizations based in Arizona, Nevada, or California that offer services to their local communities. Priority is given to initiatives that promote long-term self-sufficiency. The program does not provide funding for political, sports, or religious activities, fundraising events such as galas or fun-runs, scholarships, individuals, fiscal sponsors, 509(a)(3) supporting organizations, government agencies, or organizations that distribute grants to others.

Grant Title: Energize The Environment 

Deadline: 10/30/2024 

Entity: Quadratec 

Estimated Total Funding: $7,000 

This program supports individuals or organizations actively involved in initiatives that benefit the environment. Starting this year, applicants are invited to explain why they are a strong fit for the grant. Two environmental grants of $3,500 each will be awarded annually—one in the spring and one in the fall. Examples of eligible projects include trail building or restoration, park beautification, litter prevention, Earth study missions, sustainable land management, community environmental education, and youth engagement events focused on environmental awareness.
